President Joe Bidena and Benjamin Netanyahu in Israe

President Joe Biden landed in Israel this morning and immediately accepted the Israeli version of what happened to the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City yesterday. The death toll there is now reported to be over 600.

“I was deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday,” Biden said. “Based on what I’ve seen, it appears it was done by the other team, and not you,” he said, referring to Israel, reported the Times of Israel. He did add that “there are a lot of people out there who are not sure,” but otherwise he launched into full support for Israel’s war of genocide against Gaza, including labeling Hamas as worse than ISIS.

In remarks prior to their meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lavished praise on Biden for the unprecedented level of U.S. support, and for the “moral clarity” Biden has demonstrated from the moment Israel was attacked. “You’ve drawn a clear line between the forces of civilization and the forces of barbarism,” he said. Netanyahu went through graphic descriptions of the crimes of Hamas, burning people live, murdering children, raping, etc. Their crimes are the equivalent to twenty 9/11s, he stated, but “the forces of civilization will prevail.”
