UANI Calls for Missile Strikes on Iran that Would Push the World ‘Off the Charts,’ Toward Nuclear War
Oct. 13, 2023 (EIRNS)—The United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI), which may be the leading international organization calling for an all-out war on Iran, issued a statement Oct. 9, calling for the United States, along with Israel, and its allies, to launch strikes against military and intelligence targets in Iran, including those of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The IRGC is a branch of the Iranian armed forces.
On Oct. 11, Helga Zepp-LaRouche told an international webcast, that with respect to the Israeli-Hamas confrontation, “the danger now is that a very bloody conflict will play out with the potential of going beyond the region, leading to world war, because if it involves Iran, I think we are off the charts.”
UANI, created in 2008, is dominated by an Advisory Board, which is led by an alliance of British intelligence and British Special Forces (including SAS) and directors of the Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency. It also includes American neocons, such as former National Security Advisor John Bolton.
UANI interfaces closely with the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK), about which the Aug. 7, 2023 Tehran Times reported, “the MEK continues to perpetrate terrorist actions in Iran for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.”
UANI released a press statement Oct. 9, through its chairman, former U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman:
“Without Iran’s support, there would be no Hamas. Without Iran’s support, Hamas could not have attacked Israel the way it has. Without Iran’s support, Russia would not be killing as many Ukrainians as they are. Without Iran’s support, missiles and drones would not have fallen on our allies in the Arab world….
“It is time to hold Iran accountable. While Israel must act to punish, weaken, and ultimately destroy Hamas, the critical military targets that enabled the horrific events in Israel are in Iran.
“We call on our government in Washington, together with Israel, and our allies around the world to launch strikes against military and intelligence targets in Iran, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites, and missile and drone bases, where Iran’s proxy and partner network is trained.”
A look at its Advisory Board shows the dominating role of the British and Israelis, who dominate UANI’s thinking and policy.

Lord Charles Guthrie: Guthrie served, from 2000-2011, as Colonel Commandant (director) of the Special Air Service (SAS), a special forces unit of the British Army (like, but more extensive than the Green Berets). The SAS is notorious for covert surveillance, close-combat fighting, and dirty operations that can be used to destabilize and overthrow governments. From 1997 to 2001, Guthrie served as chief of the British Defense Staff. Guthrie is Knight Grand Cross of the high-ranking British Order of the Bath, and also of the Victorian Order.
