During an unannounced and unpublicized visit by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to a mosque in Toronto on Friday, Oct. 20, he was greeted with boos and jeers of “Shame!” and “Take your people and go!” reported numerous press outlets. A video posted by Geopolitics Live of the event has gone viral, and includes a brief shot when he walked out of the mosque onto the street, with one protester shouting, “How many more Palestinians have to die for the ceasefire?”
Trudeau also visited the International Muslims Organization of Toronto on Oct. 20 “to show his support to those impacted in the Muslim community from the horrific events in the Middle East,” according to a spokesman from the Prime Minister’s Office. “Right now, Palestinian, Muslim and Arab communities in Canada are extremely worried, as are Canadians of the Jewish faith,” said Alison Murphy in a statement to CBC News.
