German MP Argues, Either Use Russia’s Nord Stream Gas or Suffer Deindustrialization

Steffen Kotre, an industrial engineer and MP with the AfD in the German Bundestag, told TASS yesterday that Germany needs to begin using the remaining Nord Stream 2 pipeline for natural gas imports from Russia. Kotre serves on the Bundestag committee on energy and climate protection. He stated that abandoning Russian energy and trying to replace it with alternate gas supplies has been a mistake, one directly causing the deindustrialization of Germany. He said that Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s energy policy “is devastating for companies and private consumers.”
