Iraqi Hezbollah Group Vows To Attack U.S. Bases if U.S. Intervenes in Palestine

Threatening to engulf the entire region in conflict, the U.S. decision to deploy soldiers and aircraft carrier groups to Southwest Asia is increasing tensions. Abu Alaa al-Walai, the leader for an Iraqi resistance group, Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, has warned that if the U.S. intervenes at all in Palestine, his group will attack U.S. bases in Iraq and surrounding countries, according to an article in The Cradle.

“If the U.S. intervenes, we will intervene directly; all U.S. presence in the region will be legitimate targets for the resistors inside and outside Iraq,” said Abu Alaa al-Walai in a statement. “The entire axis of resistance will intervene, and the entire region will catch fire, and we are waiting. These are messages in multiple directions, so let the other read them however he wants.”

“Since the first hours, we have been in direct and indirect contact with the Palestinian resistance,” Walai added.

This is likely only the very tip, given the long-standing tensions and numerous militant factions throughout the region.
