Israel Rejects Independent Investigation on the Gaza Hospital Attack

Speaking to Politico in Brussels, Israeli Ambassador to the EU and NATO Haim Regev said that now was not the moment for an international probe. “We are at war and right now it’s not the time to start an international initiative,” he said. “We have the proof that it’s them … we cannot share every single piece of information that we have, but we tried to show it.”

As an ambassador, Regev represents his country. Unless Israel issues a denial of his statements, his statements represent the views of the Israeli government.

Regev otherwise praised the resolution voted up by the European Parliament yesterday (500- 21) on Gaza, quoting its main points in a tweet on X:

“Condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the despicable terrorists attacks committed by the terrorist group Hamas against Israel and expresses its support for the State of Israel and its people; reiterates that the terrorist organization Hamas needs to be eliminated;”
