Israeli Military Announces Expansion of Bombing Policy, Weaponizing ‘Aid’

This afternoon in Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi made what passes amongst Israeli officialdom as a generous offer for Gazans: “We will make sure there will be fuel in places where they need fuel to treat civilians.” This was long overdue.

The next sentence was: “We will not allow the fuel for Hamas so they can continue fighting against the citizens of Israel.” It wasn’t, at first, made clear how the IDF could accomplish this logistical feat. Halevi began with what sounded like a reasonable approach: “The IDF is fighting Hamas, not the population of Gaza. The IDF is interested in the population of Gaza making it through this war with as few blows as possible. This is why I recommended an area to evacuate to. In this area there will be food, medical treatment and water.”
