As Interfax reports today, Gazprom will use more advanced technology in the construction of new gas pipelines to China. “Gazprom is currently building the most modern trunk gas pipelines in the world—Bovanenkovo-Ukhta and Ukhta-Torzhok—intended for operating pressures of 120 atmospheres. And these are genuinely the most advanced technology solutions available in the global gas industry,” the company’s CEO Alexei Miller told TV journalist Pavel Zarubin of the “Moscow.Kremlin.Putin” program.
“But our science and our industry are not standing still, and I can say that we have new plans for new gas transport routes, including to the Chinese market, so I can say that the gas pipelines that will be built will be technologically even more superior even to the gas pipelines that Gazprom has built recently,” Miller explained.
