Democratic party activists shut down the state party convention with a demonstration in favor of a ceasefire in Gaza. The calls for ceasefire overwhelmed the room in which Rep. Adam Schiff was attempting to give a speech, and conference organizers were unable to regain control of the situation.
According to “Gen-Z for Change” the party sent the following message to attendees: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, and for the safety and security of our delegates and convention participants, we are cancelling tonight’s caucus meetings, hospitality suites, and VoteFest taking place at the convention center.”
