In response to a question posed by CCTV today, asking for comment on Argentine President-elect Javier Milei’s tweet thanking Chinese President Xi Jinping for his congratulations on his election, Foreign Ministry of China spokeswoman Mao Ning said that “in the past five decades and more since China and Argentina established mutual diplomatic ties, our two countries have always treated each other with mutual respect and equality and pursued mutual benefit.… China stands ready to work with the new government of Argentina.”
