The ministerial committee assigned by the Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit met in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron and Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, the Saudi Press Agency reported. This is their fourth stop after China, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

During meetings with Macron and Colonna, the committee, led by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, welcomed the humanitarian truce between Israel and Hamas, in which there would be a four-day pause in fighting to allow the release of 50 Israeli hostages. The Arab diplomats called on France to use its influence in the United Nations Security Council to push for a complete and sustainable ceasefire. The ministers reiterated calls for opening a safe humanitarian corridor to deliver vital aid and fuel into Gaza.
