Hezbollah and Lebanon Not Eye-to-Eye with Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood

Israel’s Ynet news agency, the country’s largest, reported on Oct. 30 on the reality that Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated operation, has little or no connection with Hezbollah or Lebanon, and, by extension, Iran. When former Hamas chief Khaled Mashal said that Hezbollah was not doing enough to confront Israel and that they had to open a second front, he got a rude awakening. Ynet wrote: “Lebanese politicians and journalists among others, who are affiliated with the Hezbollah terror group, expressed anger at the demands made by former Hamas chief Khaled.”

On the Lebanese Al-Jadeed channel, journalist Faysal Abd al-Sattar responded: “Someone sitting in a Gulf state dares to tell Hezbollah, ‘Thank you, but it’s not enough.’ Khaled Mashal has no positive influence on our Shi’ite environment, particularly after what happened in Syria.” Mashal, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood worked to overthrow the Syrian government.

Another Lebanese politician, Wiam Wahab, closely aligned with Hezbollah and the Syrian government, remarked, “Khaled Mashal meddled in the Arab Spring, the destructive spring that aimed to weaken the Arab world.” Otherwise, Mashal was mocked for living it up in a 5-star hotel in Qatar.
