Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, after attending a meeting of EU foreign ministers yesterday in Brussels, told the press that cooperation with China represents a “huge opportunity rather than a risk. The risk lies in the severing of ties.” He expressed the hope that the EU would take a realistic rather than ideological approach. In economic terms, China has overtaken Europe as the second largest world economy, he declared, pointing out that the biggest European companies, by and large, have been taking a rational path of cooperation.
