Iran’s Foreign Minister in Türkiye: More Killing of Civilians Risks Major Escalation

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan hosted Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Nov. 1, who warned that if the Southwest Asia conflict does not end immediately, the U.S. and “the Zionist regime” will be directly responsible for the expansion of the scale of the war. The situation will not remain like this and the resistance will put taking a surprise move on its agenda, if the killing of civilians continues, he stressed, reported Tasnim. Amir-Abdollahian also pointed to his talks with Hamas officials on Oct. 31 in Qatar, and said they have informed him that 50 of the prisoners Hamas is holding had been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza hospitals.

Amir-Abdollahian also said Iran is pursing to hold a meeting of Muslim and Arab country leaders to discuss putting an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza. He said the idea, which has been put forward by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, has been discussed in talks with the senior officials of Qatar, Türkiye, Saud Arabia, and Egypt.
