Former Israeli Diplomat Wants To Erase Gaza from Face of the Earth

In yet another example of the dehumanization of the Gaza population under the Netanyahu government, Galit Distel Atbaryan, public diplomacy minister in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government until two weeks ago—she resigned saying that her office’s budget had been gutted for the war—called for wiping Gaza off the face of the Earth. Distel Atbaryan posted on Facebook that a video of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack had prompted her to deliver a message to her fellow Israelis, urging them to cease internal arguments and concentrate on the “monsters” in Gaza, reported Middle East Eye. “Invest that energy in one thing: erasing all of Gaza from the face of the Earth.” Distel Atbaryan said she wished to see “the brave monsters” flee over Gaza’s southern barrier into Egypt, “or let them die.”

“Gaza needs to be wiped out,” she went on, saying that “Nazis” in the occupied West Bank needed to be targeted, too. This pretense of a former public diplomacy minister continued that a “vengeful and vicious” Israeli military was required. “Anything less than that is immoral.”
