Kazakhstan President Wraps Their Future Around ‘Belt and Road’

Trend News Agency reported yesterday on Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Nov. 27 meeting with China’s Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang, by quoting Tokayev: “I believe that Kazakh-Chinese relations are, in fact, a model of mutually beneficial, effective interstate interaction. We consider China as a very important strategic partner and have high hopes for achieving concrete results of our cooperation in all areas.”

He added that the Oct. 17-18 Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was a great success in pushing large-scale initiatives forward. He continued: “I recently visited Beijing and held detailed negotiations with President Xi Jinping. The negotiations were highly substantive and became an important step towards deepening cooperation.”
