A Russian government delegation, led by Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov, arrived yesterday in Pyongyang, D.P.R.K. for talks on cooperation in trade and science. It follows the enhancement of the Russian-D.P.R.K. relationship following Chairman Kim Jong Un’s meeting with Vladimir Putin this year and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s visit to Pyongyang.
Working-level officials of the two sides were seriously discussing the “practical issues of realizing cooperation in various fields” to be reflected in the protocol of the meeting. There are also indications that Russia might open up agricultural land for North Korean farmers to work.
