Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov led a Russian delegation to the United Arab Emirates Nov. 12 where he held discussions on industrial cooperation with U.A.E. Minister of Industry and High Technologies Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
“First of all, this includes oil and gas engineering, which is in demand in the Emirates market, and which we have been doing since 2014, especially as part of our import substitution program for oil and gas machinery. We are seeing some results today. A certain number of standards have already been adopted, in particular, 17 that operate in Russia and the Emirates,” Manturov said according to TASS. In this regard, they expressed satisfaction with the interaction between the Institute of Oil and Gas Technology Initiatives (INTI) and ADNOC, a U.A.E. company in the field of oil and gas equipment. The parties noted that this positive experience should also be used in other sectors, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, reported the government website.
Manturov invited Sultan Al Jaber to visit the Innoprom international industrial fair in Yekaterinburg in July 2024, as well as to take part in the meeting of BRICS industry ministers to be held in Nizhny Novgorod next year. Manturov was also attending the Dubai Air Show.
