The “Riyadh Declaration, released yesterday by the Saudi-Africa summit in Riyadh,” included a call for an end to the war in Gaza. In their joint statement, the leaders called for an end to military operations in the occupied Palestinian territories and for the protection of civilians, and the end to the occupation and the establishment of a Palestinian state, based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The declaration said that the international community must pressure Israel to “stop Israeli attacks and the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip,” which it called “a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international laws.”
