A poll conducted by Israel’s newspaper Maariv News on Oct. 19 found that 65% of Israelis favored an immediate ground invasion into Gaza. However the same poll conducted on Oct. 27, not even two weeks later, found dramatically different results.
Maariv reported that those in favor of an immediate ground invasion had dropped to 29%, while those not necessarily opposed but considering “it would be better to wait” were at 49%. 22% were undecided.
Maariv also notes that 80% of Israelis believe Netanyahu is responsible for the crisis. Arabic news site Al Qahera reports on another poll from Jerusalem Post, which finds this number at 94% of Israelis, while 56% of them think that Netanyahu should resign after the end of the war.
