Early yesterday morning, the U.S. Air Force/Space Force performed a routine test firing of a Minuteman III ICBM from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California; however, the flight was terminated over the Pacific Ocean “due to an anomaly,” according to an Air Force Global Strike Command press release. “A Launch Analysis Group is forming to investigate the cause,” the release reported further.
