To help make the point behind President Joe Biden’s demand for Congress to pass his $106 billion war budget request, the State Department announced yesterday a $175 million package of munitions and equipment for the Kiev regime, using presidential drawdown authority (PDA). This is the 52nd such drawdown authorized by Biden, but unless his supplemental budget request is passed, the Pentagon will not be able to replenish the stocks that are being sent to Ukraine. “Unless Congress acts to pass the President’s national security supplemental funding request, this will be one of the last security assistance packages we can provide to Ukraine,” the State Department said.
