Chinese Electric Car Company Makes Large Investment in Hungary

Build Your Dream (BYD), a Chinese company and the top global producer of electric vehicles, announced plans to build a massive 740-acre plant in Hungary, close to the borders with Serbia and Romania. This significant project, representing an investment of nearly $600 billion in 2023, is set to create 3,000 jobs. BYD, which operates 170 dealerships across Europe, offers its latest model at approximately €50,000. The development marks one of the largest investments in Hungary’s history.
