Furthering the obvious divide between the U.S. and Israel on their view of the war, Israeli President Isaac Herzog denied that a two-state solution is acceptable during an interview with AP on Dec. 14:

“What I want to urge is against just saying two-state solution. Why? Because there is an emotional chapter here that must be dealt with. My nation is bereaving. My nation is in trauma,” said Herzog.
