United Auto Workers Union representatives appeared outside the White House to support the call for a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, and joined six members of Congress, who are conducting a week-long hunger strike. UAW regional director Brandon Mancilla said, “UAW International is calling for an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Israel and Palestine so that we can get to the work of building a lasting peace, building social justice, and building a community of global solidarity.” The action was reported by The Hill and other media including The Wire.

Other major unions that have called for ceasefire now, include the United Electrical Workers and the American Postal Workers Union.
