Zelenskyy to Washington To Rescue the $61 Billion for Ukraine

President Joe Biden has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House on Dec. 12 for a final assault on Congress to get the $61 billion for more fighting in Ukraine. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell have invited Zelenskyy to address a meeting of senators on that morning. House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office stated that he will also be meeting with Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy’s office stated that he will focus on “securing unity among the U.S., Europe, and the rest of the world” on their support of Ukraine’s defense against Russia and “strengthening the international order based on rules and respect for the sovereignty of nations.”
