In a succinct letter issued today, 199 locally-elected U.S. officials lament the bloodshed in Israel and Gaza and implore these federal officials to “take immediate action to pursue a durable ceasefire … release of all hostages, to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, and begin to create the conditions for a political agreement that can end this conflict.” The letter has been issued by organizations “Local Progress” and “Local Progress Impact Lab” that publish on a website, “Local Progress.”
