U.S. Holds Talks To Deploy Reconnaissance Drones in Africa

Citing the Wall Street Journal, TASS reports that the U.S. is seeking to establish drone bases at airfields in Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Benin, and that preliminary talks are already underway. The U.S. closed down its drone base in Niger, following last year’s coup. The drones will supposedly be used to track the Islamic State and Al Qaeda.
