U.S. President Joe Biden today explained to reporters that his bombing campaign is “not stopping” Yemen’s attacks on ships bound for Israel, but he will continue the bombing. He was asked whether the strikes were working in deterring the Houthis. Biden was succinct: “When you say working, are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they going to continue? Yes.”
Major transportation firms, including Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, and MSC, have rerouted their ships between Asia and Europe, now going around the Cape of Good Hope.
