German exports to non-EU countries are in free fall. In December, they were 4% less than the previous month and 1.7% less on a yearly basis. The largest drop was in exports to China: 12.7% year-on-year. But this was also true with respect to exports to the U.S.: −9.9% year-on-year. Germany exported goods for €11.2 billion to the U.S., and for €7.2 billion to China. Exports to Russia plunged 32.3% year on year.
