German Truckers Protesting in Berlin Now

A police spokeswoman told RBB at around 10 a.m. that 1,500 participants, 620 trucks and 150 tractors had gathered in the area of the Brandenburg Gate. However, more people and vehicles would continue to arrive. A vigil is planned in front of the Brandenburg Gate as well as a rally, which the police say will last until 6 p.m.

Among other things, the protesters are demanding that the German government withdraw the toll increase and CO2 pricing. The drivers also want a better infrastructure for professional drivers
