The Israeli “settlers” movement that has been driving Palestinians out of the West Bank—what they call “Judea and Samaria”—has laid claim on Gaza, beginning in the north with Gaza City. On Jan. 28, over 3,000 of them will gather for a “Jewish settlement in Gaza” conference at Jerusalem’s International Convention Center. There, according to the Times of Israel (TOI), they are expected to be addressed by the ‘blood and soil’ pair of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Treasury Minister Bezalel Smotrich. They are expected to be accompanied by:
The other two ministers from Ben-Gvir’s party, Amichai “Use a Nuclear Bomb on Gaza” Eliyahu and Yitzhak Wasserlauf, and four of his Knesset members;
Two ministers from Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party, and three of his Knesset members; and two ministers plus seven Knesset members from Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud.
It adds up to quite an ingathering. Key leaders in organizing the gathering, are two leaders of the West Bank “settlers” movement, the head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan and the chair of the Nachala movement Daniella Weiss. Dagan explained: “We need to start in the north of the Gaza Strip… It’s close to Sderot,” the largest Israeli town near the border.
