When lawyer Blinne Ní Ghrálaigh delivered her powerful address before the ICJ on behalf of South Africa, she quoted the Palestinian Lutheran pastor in Bethlehem: “I want you to look in the mirror and ask: where was I when Gaza was going through a genocide?”
South Africa is here, at the ICJ, Ní Ghrálaigh responded.
The pastor, Rev. Munther Isaac, expressed his appreciation in an X post. His Dec. 23 Christmas sermon from which she quoted, which has been viewed by over a million people, Arab News reported Jan. 10, but Reverend Isaac responded that he feels he has not made any progress as long as the war still continues.
