Despite floods of money into the state in support of Nikki Haley (and floods of newly “Republican” voters joining the primary), Donald Trump has handily won the New Hampshire primary vote.
The next primary is in South Carolina. Although Nikki Haley previously served as governor of the state, the site 538 shows Trump leading Haley 60-35. DeSantis’s exit and his endorsement of Trump could further swell the former President’s lead.
How might Haley respond to a loss in South Carolina? Will she remain in the race with the hopes that Trump will be removed—by whatever means?
