Ukraine’s bombarding of Russia’s Belgorod region continued yesterday. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that around noon, the Russian military had “thwarted an attempt by the Kiev regime to conduct a terrorist attack” on unspecified facilities, adding that four missiles launched from a Ukrainian Olkha system were destroyed over Belgorod Region, RT reports. The ministry later added that Moscow had repelled two similar attacks, shooting down another 13 Olkha missiles. Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced that one woman had been slightly injured. Another barrage, however, killed one man who had been driving a car when a shell exploded nearby, Gladkov later added. He also reported that Ukrainian attacks had wounded 11 people.
This morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defenses had shot down six Olkha and six Tochka-U missiles over the territory of Belgorod region.
