The U.S. House of Representatives approved yet another short-term spending bill today, 314-108, which kicks last year’s budget down the road another few weeks. The next planned crisis has funding deadlines of March 1 and March 8. House Speaker Mike Johnson brought the continuing resolution up for a vote by suspending the rules with a fast-track process.

The Freedom Caucus was at the center of the anger with Johnson for working with the Democrats, and not using the Jan. 19 deadline to force a political win on more funding for controlling the border. Only 2 of the 108 votes in opposition were from Democrats.
