American Jews and Arabs Protest in New York and Illinois To End Genocide

Jewish Voice for Peace protesters on Wednesday Feb. 7 blocked the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street in New York City, where President Biden was to go for a nearby fundraiser: “Hundreds of Jews are blockading the @POTUS motorcade as it attempts to reach a fundraiser on the Upper East Side, calling on the President—in his first New York City appearance since the crisis in Gaza began—to stop funding Israel’s genocide of Palestinians,” JVP posted. Jose Vega’s comment in reposting it: “This is more potent than any election.” Common Dreams reported that 100 were arrested and had more action shots of the demonstration.
