In a news report Monday, public broadcaster Channel 4 News in the U.K. acknowledged that “this program has now seen” the confidential document from Israel alleging that some United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) staff worked with Hamas. However, Channel 4 admits that the document “provides no evidence to support its explosive new claim” regarding UNRWA.
The document merely makes the claim that “Hamas terrorist organization has been methodically and deliberately emplacing its terrorist infrastructure in a wide range of UN facilities and assets,” Channel 4 reports. All that is cited as evidence are alleged “intelligence information, documents and identity cards seized during the course of the fighting” which point to such a conclusion.
