Another Fishing Dispute Between Taiwan and Mainland China

Earlier this week, Chinese fishermen in the area between the Taiwan island of Quemoy and China’s Fujian Province were chased away by a Taiwan coast guard who considered this Taiwan territory. The fishermen in their speedboat raced away, followed by the Taiwanese vessel. The speedboat overturned and the four people on board were rescued by the Taiwan vessel. Two of them, however, did not survive.
