Greek Farmers Reject Government's Measures, Will Expand Protests

Representatives of protesting farmers declared on Feb. 5 that farmer relief measures announced at last week’s EU summit of European leaders did not go far enough. As far as they are concerned, statements and promises by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during a meeting with protesting farmers in western Greece on Feb.1 did not go far enough to resolve their problems, reports the Greek daily Kathimerini.
