Data on Italian industrial production in December show a 2.5% drop for the year 2023. On Feb. 6, German industrial figures were made known, showing a 1.5% drop for the year 2023. Thus, the two largest manufacturing sectors in the EU, Germany and Italy, showed a deadly trajectory towards an industrial collapse, mainly due to the effect of anti-Russia sanctions.
