Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov stated Feb. 26 in an interview with RIA Novosti that were the West to go ahead with its threats and seize the Russian assets the West has blocked in its banks, Russia’s response will not be pleasant. Siluanov stressed that the West also has assets in Russia that could be endangered if Russia’s funds are illegally confiscated and used.
“"This is not a question for us, we are following the decisions of Western countries. We have frozen at least as much. Any actions with our assets will receive a symmetrical response,”
Siluanov emphasized.
