Putin Visit to Türkiye This Month; Erdogan Will Go to Egypt

Russian President Vladimir Putin will make an official visit to Türkiye, his first trip to a NATO ally since Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022. He will meet with Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to address regional concerns, including the war in Ukraine, the situation in Syria, and Israel’s actions in Gaza.

Putin’s visit to Türkiye was confirmed yesterday by Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. While Peskov said a date has not been fixed, Turkish media report it will be on Feb. 12.
