Trump Request To Submit Lower Bond in NY Case Rejected

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, former President Donald Trump lost his request for a New York appeals court to pause the judgment of over $450 million in a civil case regarding allegations that he had dishonestly exaggerated his net worth.

Trump had asked the court to accept a bond for $100 million as he appeals the case, but the judge rejected the offer. Unless Trump is able to secure a bond or put up the cash, New York Attorney General Letitia James is expected to seize his bank accounts and, potentially, his properties.
