US Military Reinforcing Its Forces in Eastern Syria

For more than a week, there have been reports of the US military reinforcing and repositioning its troops illegally occupying Syria. Yesterday, the Syrian Observer reported that two C-130 cargo planes and a helicopter landed at the Kharab Al-Jeir Base in the northeast corner of the country. At about the same time, a convoy comprising 30 trucks carrying fuel tanks and logistic and military equipment arrived at the same base after passing through the Al Waleed crossing from northern Iraq. The Syrian government in Damascus considers the Al Waleed crossing illegal, because it is not under Syrian sovereign control.
