The House Republican leadership has unveiled stand-alone legislation that would provide $17.6 billion to aid Israel for its war in Gaza. The funding bill, offered by a House Appropriations panel, could come to a vote in the full House sometime next week, Speaker Mike Johnson said in a letter to members. The funding is up from the $14.3 billion Israeli aid package voted up in the House last November (never considered by Senate).
