French Chief of General Staff Gives Macron Lunacy a Thumbs Up

March 21, 2024 (EIRNS)—The General Chief of Staff of the French Army Gen. Thierry Burkhard, gave his imprimatur today to President Emmanuel Macron’s proposal to send French troops into Ukraine. France is ready “to go further” in supplying arms to Ukraine, he told Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces Gen. Micael Bydén, in Paris. “Western assistance to Ukraine can go beyond just arms supplies,” he said. He also added that French President Emmanuel Macron “knows what is at stake in Ukraine.”
