March 21, 2024 (EIRNS)—With only 20 seconds before take-off, the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft was abruptly cancelled. One of the engines failed to ignite, causing an automatic shutdown of the launch. There were three astronauts onboard, including the first cosmonaut from Belarus, a woman, who would remain on the space station for two weeks. Roscosmos head Yuri Borisov said that the problem was due to a voltage drop in one of the batteries. The flight will be rescheduled for March 23.
