March 22, 2024 (EIRNS)—A group of men in camouflage broke into the Crocus-City Hall in northwest Moscow Region near Krasnogorsk on March 22, in the middle of a rock concert, and opened fire. They also placed bombs in the upper stories of the building, setting it on fire and causing the roof to collapse.

Russian authorities report at least 60 dead and over 100 injured, although the numbers are expected to rise. The authorities have not yet ascribed responsibility for the attack. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak wrote on X that “Ukraine has never resorted to the use of terrorist methods.” ISIS has claimed responsibility, according to the ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram, but no evidence was provided.
