March 28, 2024 (EIRNS)—Russian officials yesterday have begun to call out Wahington’s claim—that ISIS-K Muslim terrorists are the isolated and sole perpetrators of the March 22 Crocus Massacre—as not simply unverified, but as evidence that Washington, having no interest in verifying it, is covering for its proxy, Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Izvestiya: “It’s strange, to say the least, that the Americans have dared to announce a single narrative. This suggests at the very least that they are trying to shift attention away from something.” Peskov also noted that these claims came in before Moscow had formulated an official version of events, since Russian law enforcement is still working on the case.
